We started this practice because we wanted an opportunity to serve and make a true difference in people's lives and really, in the practice of law, specifically in family law, there is no better way to help people than doing what we do everyday in the trenches. Two of my sons had run away, they weren't happy with the court system and they didn't know what else to do. When I came here, I was in an abusive marriage and he had told me multiple times that if I ever left him, he would ruin my life. I had to have someone drop me off here because I found out that my car was being watched. We thought that we were at a dead end with not being able to find anyone that would work with us. I'm a proud father; the intimidation factor of being a man in a custody case is overwhelming. For Josh, to do what he did for me, it was 100% worth it. My mom went through two divorces; I saw the effect that it had on me and so many of my friends when parents split up and I wanted to go into this field to help people when they were in their darkest of times to have someone who could advocate for them and be their voice. Our goal here is to show clients that we care about them, we care about what is important to them, their children, their families, and to us, practicing law, especially in family law, is so much more than just a job. It's a calling. Just to be able to be there to help lift that load for them and say hey, I've got this part of it for you, when it comes to whatever legal matter you're dealing with, you know, let me take that load for you and you can focus on what you need to focus on. The heart of our firm is to portray compassion, to be available for our clients. And that's what we believe in every day of our lives in practicing and working with our clients. We want to make a difference in their lives, we want to have the opportunity to support them when they're going through the most difficult time in their life. As a client who's struggling with a custody battle with your children or facing losing perhaps your house or all your assets, you need someone who's going to stand by your side, not just with the legal knowledge but someone who's going to have the compassion you need and the care that you're looking for to show that we listen to you and no matter what it is you're facing, we're going to be here to support you and provide you with advice that you need. As soon as he realized that we had something that he could help us with, then he was bound and determined to do it. I wouldn't even think about recommending somebody else. I feel like when we went to the trial, every single aspect was addressed that was a concern of mine. They're doing the work that God called them to do. He knocked it out of the park: the preparation, the documentation, just the psychological side of things that he prepared me for. He was on top of it, we were prepared. The outcome was a great settlement; I got over a million dollars. Honestly, if you want to work with a group of people that you really feel like are on your side and make you feel comfortable with being with them and in their office and in court with them, then you're not going to find anybody better.
